An "Equal" to Paper Boats
I continue to write and rewrite my next novel, The Doll Maker, which is a companion book to my newly released novel, Paper Boats. I say companion because this book follows one of the characters on their journey at the same time Otto, from Paper Boats, is on his. It’s not a prequel, or even a sequel. I guess that makes it an “equal." While I’m proud of Paper Boats, it being my first effort, The Doll Maker will be much different, which should be expected as I’m a better writer

#FridayWrites
Friday is supposed to be for sharing what book I’m reading, but I’m in the zone writing my new novel, The Doll Maker, and haven’t had much time to do much else. Now I say I’m writing, but what often happens my silly kitty cat wants to sit right on top of me and hang out. It’s taxing enough to write without having to give attention to the cat. The Doll Maker
The Television is off and my computer is on. That means I’m writing. A long walk across the fields of my farm has given me lots of ideas, and I’m now getting them down before I forget. Because believe me, I will. I’m working on my next novel, 'The Doll Maker,' a story about Annie, one of the characters in 'Paper Boats.' In this book, we follow Annie on her journey, which happens at the exact time Otto is on his. It will have all the twists and turns of Paper boats but on a mu

Writing Tip: Never Stop Writing
While I have been writing for many, many years, I still consider myself new to the industry. There was a time when I had to have complete silence around me to write. Not even a piece of dust could hit the ground, because I would hear it and it would ruin my thoughts. It was very frustrating but after about six months that all went away. For starters, in my pressed world it just wasn’t realistic. Something always interrupted. I read an article about how Tiger Wood’s father wou
